Eight years ago, the Bourgmont Vineyard team started growing grapes and making wine. Although this project was originally just our hobby, it has evolved over time into a passion. Two years ago, we began planting on an industrial scale in south Johnson County. Our vineyard now spans over nine acres and consists of 10 different grape varieties. Our goal is to become a Kansas Farm winery and make the best possible wine here in the midwest.
For fans of white wines, we have planted Riesling, Seyval, Frontenac Gris, and Cayuga. Our reds include Cabernet Franc, and Chambourcin, the Kansas state red-wine grape.
On October 3rd of 2019, we planned a grand opening of our winery and tasting facility. The tasting room is open and located at 20299 Quivira, Bucyrus, Kansas 66013.
